Do you remember that great trip to LA earlier this year? Yeah, the one we called a Crusade. Well, we’re having another one. If you’ve been at church lately, you’ve probably heard at least something about it. If you haven’t, well, here is your chance to get involved so you can join us.
This time we’re going to Oregon. We are going to visit 1st Slavic Baptist Church in Portland and 1st Slavic Baptist Church in Vancouver. We will be leaving Sacramento on Thursday, November 12 by 10 pm. Upon arriving in Vancouver, we will have the day to relax. Friday evening will we will be part of the church service. The youth from both churches is providing us with a place to sleep. Saturday will be a day at the park (if the weather permits, if not, we’ll find somewhere else to go together) with the youth from Portland & Vancouver youth. On Sunday morning we will be part of the service in 1st Slavic Baptist Church in Portland. Lunch will be served, and then we’ll be on our way home. We hope to make it back to Sacramento around midnight.
Transportation will be provided. Extra cars will only be allowed if there is no room on the vans, and honestly, time goes by a lot faster with a bunch of friends in a van.
The cost is just $40 per person. If you want to go, you must participate in some aspect of the trip. Sing in choir, prepare a skit or something else for the church services, be a (photo/video)grapher, help keep everyone fed during the drive. There are plenty of positions open. Talk to Denis Samodarov if you want to go and aren’t already part of the program. Applications are due by November 8th and must be turned in to Vlad Shestopal or Julie Tolok along with $40.

Update: Sunday, November 8th was the deadline to turn in applications. Late applications will be accepted with a late fee of $40 in addition to the $40 original cost. Get your apps turned in!
