Summer Camp Announcement

We regret to inform you that due to unseasonably cold and unpredictable weather, this year’s summer camp has been cancelled. This was a very difficult decision to make so far into the preparation phase of the project. The campsite we had reserved back in November of last year is currently under 12 feet of snow, with more forecasted to fall this weekend. There were no suitable campsites available for the dates announced, and no alternative dates available with adequate staffing. Anyone who has already submitted an application and made payment will receive a full refund.

Unite in Prayer!

With the massive cataclysmic events, which shake and shift our little planet Earth, Christ’s soon coming is being foretold.  Nevertheless, more and more people are hurt, devastated, and terrified.  I believe that it is our duty, as true followers of Christ, to unite in prayer for those who are affected.  I urge all of us to pray for the people of Japan and all the people who were affected by the earthquake and the tsunami that recently happened.  In addition to that, we should check ourselves and our faith in Christ, because He Himself stated: “You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” Luke 12:40

Christmas Trees!!!

Christmas is just around the corner and Christmas is not Christmas without a Christmas tree. We’re sure that you are planning to get one this year, so why not get a tree and give a chance for God’s word to be spread around the world?This year, Second Slavic Baptist Church Missionary team gives all of us a chance to do that. If God gives you a desire to support us in our missionary trip this winter, we ask you to please come and support us. Our trees are freshly cut and are in different sizes, making it possible for you to pick the perfect one for your home!

We have two different types; Douglas and Noble firs.  Come soon and show your support by buying a Christmas tree!

Winter Missionary Trip

We are starting our missionary meetings for this upcoming winter. If you are interested and want to experience one of the most exciting experiences of your life, we are personally inviting you to our meetings. We get together every Thursday, at 7 p.m., in the youth committee room, at SSBC.  January 3-17, 2011 are the days planned for the trip. God’s blessings to all of you and we hope to see you there!

This is a reminder that this Wednesday, June 9, 2010 is the last day to turn in your camp application with a price of $50.00. After June 9, there will be a late fee of $30.00 plus original price of camp. So after June 9, the price of camp will be $80.00, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! To turn in your application or get a new one, please come up to Vladimir Lobkov or Yuliya Tolok.
