At the leaders retreat we had a discussion about what kind of topics to have for our Youth Services and Wednesday small groups. We also wanted to know what kinds of songs our music groups should be singing – English or Russian? Maybe there is a particular song that you want our worship teams to start singing. Starting Dec. 24th, the price is raised to $40 dollars and there are no more discounts.

Christian Students Needed
A Sacramento Christian film maker is seeking students who have been unfairly treated for their Christian beliefs in class.
Exposing what goes on behind closed doors is the first step to ending the anti-Christian bias in public colleges. The slave trade, and discrimination against blacks didn’t end until the reality of how they were mistreated was shown to the general public. The same will be true when the story of Christians is told: “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” – Ephesians 5:11
Please send us an email if you or someone you know has had a professor openly attack Christianity, or if you’ve been mistreated, had a grade go down, or were otherwise negatively affected because of your religious beliefs at school (Even if you’re not sure if you qualify, contact us).
- The incident must have occurred within the last 2 years, at any college in the Los Rios Community College District (ARC, FLC, SCC, or CRC).
- Your identity can be kept confidential if you fear retaliation for going on camera. Your face and voice can be disguised.
Please, let your story be told, and with God’s help, we may “overcome evil with good.” – Romans 12:21

New Year Art Contest

New Year Celebration 2010 will feature an ART CONTEST!
Requirements:
- Must be of anything/anyone from 1800s
- Any medium may be used (pencil, oil, paint, spray paint, pastel, etc)
- Piece must be roughly 23″ x 35″ (any material)
- Must have a title and a short description on a separate piece of paper.
Best three pieces will will receive a prize!

During the program of the New Year celebration in our church, the contestants will present and describe their art. Then, the judges will chose the first, second, and third places and give out the rewards! So do your best and have fun!
